LEATHER FOR JAGUAR

Originally supplied by Connolly Bros. Curriers, England. Supplied by global sources since mid '90's. Most early models used a 3 - 3 1/2 oz. hide in the Luxan or Vaumol quality. Starting in the late '70's- early '80's a deeper grain ( FG-PAC corrected) became widespread. Hides ranged between 38 - 55 ft2. Embossed center inserts, which broke the surface but didn't perforate. As tanning operations changed due to environmental concerns, the use of softer  hides became prevalent & widespread throughout the auto industry.
